PART 2 of 2: In July of 2011 Hibernia, Terra Nova, and RDC announced funding for the Centre for Arctic Resource Development (CARD) to bring together industrial, academic, and technology partners from all over the world to work on medium- to long-term research specifically focussed on resource development in the Arctic. 

In a presentation to a large audience of business people and researchers on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, Dr. David Murrin outlined a number of key points about CARD including: what it is mandated to accomplish; What its Research Plan is; What the likely research and business opportunities are arising from the work of CARD; The details on the expansion of the Jack Clark Building; and time lines associated with CARD's goals.

Dr. Murrin is the executive director of CARD. OceansAdvance recorded this presentation by him at the Institute for Ocean Technology in St. John’s, NL. The presentation, because of its size, is presented in two parts.
