Trans Ocean Gas is a technology development company with expertise in the fabrication of multi-element gas containers (MEGCs) for the transport of compressed natural gas (CNG). Trans Ocean Gas owns the patented rights to using composite pressure vessels for the bulk transport of CNG by ship and by tractor trailer. Upon reaching commercialisation (4th quarter 2010), Trans Ocean Gas intends to provide its transportation services to the oil and gas industry. The company has fabrication capacity both in the United States and in Canada. The head office of Trans Ocean Gas is in St. John’s, NL.
The mission of Trans Ocean Gas is to provide the world with the lowest cost per volume gas storage
systems required to safely transport CNG and pressurized liquefied natural gas (PLNG) by road, rail or by sea. In providing cost effective MEGCs to the world, Trans Ocean Gas is confident that natural gas will continue at an accelerated pace to replace coal and diesel. Trans Ocean Gas MEGCs can also be used to transport hydrogen.
