Oceanic Consulting Corporation is an ocean engineering firm based in eastern Canada that provides commercial Research and Development services to the international marine industry. The firm specializes in physical and numerical modeling of ships, offshore structures, motor and sailing yachts, underwater vehicles and other marine systems. For 15 years, Oceanic’s experienced group of researchers, engineers, and technical personnel, combined with one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of hydrodynamic research facilities has made the company a world leader in commercial research and development.
Working with the National Research Council (Institute for Ocean Technology) and Memorial University of Newfoundland (Ocean Engineering Research Center and Marine Institute), Oceanic offers performance evaluation services using one of the world’s most advanced collections of marine testing facilities. The firm has the capability to simulate nearly any extreme marine environment and the expertise to provide advice on projects ranging from concept designs for offshore installations to modifications of existing vessels for improved performance to comparative evaluations of designs for grand prix racing yachts.
