McGrath-Knapp Naval Architects Ltd. was established in St. John’s in 2006 by two entrepreneurial naval  architects to provide marine engineering and design services to the Atlantic region. The proximity to  major North American and European markets, access to state of the art ocean research facilities and the  region’s tradition and experience with shipping, fishing and boatbuilding provided the ideal opportunity  for the founders of McGrath-Knapp.     

McGrath Knapp products and services include vessel design and research through Memorial University’s  performance evaluation and, in particular, specialty vessel designs for fishing boats.
