Canadian Manufactures and Exporters, Newfoundland and Labrador (CME-NL) is seeking Expressions of Interest from NL clients to participate in an international business development mission to the Netherlands the week of November 3, potentially featuring networking with Damen Industries logistics, purchasing and aftermarket supply chain executives.

Damen Industries is the largest shipyard in the world and has been in business for over 35 years. It has an estimated €1.9 billion in revenue, with over 200 deliveries annually – 70% being new builds.  Areas of interest for Damen Industries are manufacturing, oil and gas, and aerospace and defence.

Is your company interested in accessing the ship building supply chain in the European Union? Are you already doing business with Damen or other European industry, but looking to further develop targeted connections and opportunities?

With interest from industry, the CME-NL will partner with the Department of Innovation, Business and Rural Development (IBRD) and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) to develop a complete program featuring: Damen supply chain briefings and executive meetings, facility tours and a full slate of business development meetings for companies availing of B2B matchmaking services.

NL clients interested in participating and learning about future opportunities to participate in the Damen supply chain are asked to respond to the Expression of Interest by Noon, Monday, June 2, by contacting Jackie Field at CME-NL. Based on interest received, B2B matchmaking would commence in August, with an Information Day tentatively scheduled for mission participants on September 10.

Participating NL clients may be eligible to apply for the IBRD travel subsidy for this International Business Development Mission.
