Cathy Hogan joined OceansAdvance on April 1, 2003.

Her background includes an early career in Hotel Management, having work at various Hotels throughout the St. John’s area; as well as a stint with a resort in the mountains of Alberta.

Prior to her joining OA, Cathy worked as a consultant for the Provincial Department of Development and Rural Renewal as a Contract Administrator and as the liaison between the Province and the National Research Council’s Industrial Research Assistance Program. Her main function was the management of the Federal Provincial Agreement. In addition to this she worked with clients providing path-finding services as a CTN Advisor (an NRC initiative ), performed compliance on clients agreements, and she provided marketing and promotion services on behalf of IRAP and CTN

Cathy has a vast background in conference organizing and in fact served as Executive Director for CMOS-CGU-AMS 2007, a 950 delegate Congress held in St. John’s in May, 2007. In addition she was an integral part of the organizing committees for the Bay Bytes Initiative (7 years, one year as E.D.), the Federal GOL Initiative (Government On-Line), Industry Canada’s Technology Week committee and a number of other worthwhile committees and groups.

She is a native of St. John’s and she holds a certificate in business from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
