INTRD Trade & Export News
The Trade and Export Development Division of the Department of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development is planning several trade missions for the spring. The division has begun the process of gauging interest and in several cases, recruitment efforts are underway. Funding is available for each mission through the International Trade Assistance Program (ITAP) which covers up to 50% of eligible costs (such as airfare, accommodations, ground transportation, and mission fees) and includes a daily per diem. Applications for ITAP funding are available through the relevant trade officer. Participating companies will be provided with access to an in-market consultant who will arrange pre-qualified meetings with companies or organizations who are potential buyers, distributors, agents, investors, re-sellers, or business partners. As well, ground transportation to and from these meetings will be provided and arranged by the Department.
