A native of St. John’s, Mr. Gary Dinn has worked continuously in an entrepreneurial role since forming his first company, Consolidated Technologies Ltd., in 1985, just three years after completion of his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Memorial University, and has been a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador ever since. Together with Mr. Joseph Ryan and Mr. Byron Dawe, he formed Rutter Technologies Inc. in 1998, serving as a board member continuously from the company’s incorporation through public listing on the TSX in 2001, until his departure in 2005. Mr. Dinn is active with the Standards Council of Canada and serves as Canada’s representative on the International Electrotechnical Commission’s TC80 WG6 “Digital Interfaces for Shipboard Navigation”. Mr. Dinn continues to actively pursue the development of local marine & ocean technology in a consulting role and as President of M3C Technical Inc. and M3 Sonar Inc.
